I worked at this store for over five years, part time at first and eventually full time through the years. I was promoted into an office/behind the scenes position and dealt frequently with the management and general manager. One evening during the last month I was full time I was in the team member area working. The general manager asked if I would help watch the front while an assistant manager went on break. He made the comment he would be up there too but, “It’s always good to have two eyes out there, even if the other is a women.” I reported him to HR Corporate a week or so later. Despite reporting this, the corporate management never followed up with me or provided assistance with my grievance. It showed me they didn’t take the issue seriously.
